Deion O. Osifo
Thank you so much for awarding me with 2019 3 to 1 Foundation Scholarship. Thanks to your generosity I can continue my studies at the University of North Texas as I continue to pursue my bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting. Growing up in less than fortunate circumstances it makes you realize and value the importance of furthering your education to be able to give back and help your community prosper.
During my first year at the University of North Texas, I was able to maintain an A+ GPA. My plan is still to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) however, I got involved in many activities and organizations in my first year. These included Believers Loveworld Campus fellowship, ALPFA – Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting, and the Residual Life Advisors as a Residual Advisor for the upcoming years. These organizations have given me many opportunities to volunteer and give back to my community which is one of my passions in life along with giving more leadership role opportunities. Once again, thank you very much 3 to 1 Foundation Board of Directors for awarding me this scholarship
I would like to thank the 3to1 Foundation Board of Directors for awarding me this scholarship. This scholarship will help elevate the cost of pursuing my bachelor’s in accounting and ultimately my master’s in accounting.
I will be going to the University of North Texas for the next 5 years to receive my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I have been exposed to the business world ever since I was 14 and started attending the School of Business and Management at Townview Magnet Center. During my time in high school, I was privileged to attend the Cain Watters and Associates wealth seminar twice which helped set me on my path in the business world.
Your generosity will allow me to reach my goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant and I hope someday I will also be able to give back to other students and help them achieve their goals.
